AMAZONS Praise Report


Good News!!!   Praise God!  After a great trip in July led by Cara, one of our graduates led a trip with a team from the US to the same communities.  We are nurturing the relationships in a couple of communities to promote long lasting change.  The goal is to plant a church in one of the communities (where the students had prayed for the witchdoctor) and in the other community, help the church make a significant impact on the community.

 Other great news!!!  We have been praying for scholarship money for some Ticuna Indigenous people to study at the CPN Bible school and we just received a donation for two students.  A couple will be coming in January.  Their names are Margaret and Carlos.  Margaret had applied to the school 4 years ago but was not able to study.  Now she is married and will be able to study with her husband to be prepared to be pastors.  We are really encouraged to have pastoral candidates.  Not only will they learn solid theology but they will be mentored and allow God to form their character and values.   Even in the Amazon region, many pastors have lost credibility due to integrity issues.  When Margaret and Carlos return to the Amazons, they will continue to be mentored by our colleague Pastor Martin.  We have 2 graduates right now working with him in his ministry to the communities in the Amazons.

A Ministry of Multiplication

Leo Grisales, Christ for the Nations graduate who is dedicated to a ministry of multiplication. There are two things that have marked my life says Leo, “ there was my life before and after I accepted Christ as my Savior and there was my life before and after I studied at Christ for the Nations Colombia”.  Leo has a degree in Systems Engineering and had planned to study at Christ for the Nations to solidify his walk with God as he worked as a Systems Engineer.  During his time at the institute, he received several prophesies saying he would be going to the nations.  It was a foreign thought to him but after his first missions trip, he knew he was called full time to the nations to raise up workers for the kingdom of God. Anointing Before Character

David recently returned to Colombia from a mission trip to Mexico.   He shared his testimony in Mexico that impacted both Christians and non-Christians.   It is amazing to see how God uses him despite having been kidnapped by his father, living in fear of the law, and losing his mother at the age of 12. When David was about 2 years old, his father kidnapped him to try and get money from his grandfather.   His father was caught and went to jail for two years until David’s mother dropped the charges and asked him into their lives again.   His father moved in with his other “wife” and the two women, their children, and his father lived together. David’s family moved often to avoid being caught by the law.   David says that he feared police officers because his family was always hiding from them.
