A PASSIONATE HEART FOR THE NATIONS

This is Mary Perez she is a recent graduate from Cristo Para Las Naciones, Colombia. The way the Lord has transformed her life over the past 2 years has been amazing! When Mary first arrived to CPN from Bogota, she was one of the most trying students, not because she wouldn’t listen to authority or the rules of the school, but she would have many disagreements with the students on campus. While Mary was at CPN, God began to put a passion inside of her for the nations and she expressed to one of the staff that she wanted to lead an international mission trip.

We were so excited to see her heart to want to lead, and her passion to serve, but we knew that we needed to address the situation on her attitude towards her fellow classmates. During that meeting with Mary, we let her know that she was not able to lead a mission trip that semester. At the end of the meeting, she wasn’t discouraged about missions but rather felt challenged to make changes in her character.  Mary’s view towards God was that He owed her everything and that if things didn’t go the way that she planned it meant that God wasn’t listening and didn’t love her. One night Mary was talking with the Lord and expressing all of her concerns to Him “Why this? Why that?” and God told her to surrender everything over to Him and to trust.  After that conversation with the Lord, her life changed forever!

A short time later, a Colombian who lived in Europe called Mary and told her that they would be doing missions all over Europe for the next 6 months and they wanted her to be part of the team with all expenses paid! Her friend expressed that she wanted to tell her sooner, but God didn’t release her until now. When Mary heard this, all she could do was cry and thank God for working on her behalf even when she didn’t know it.

A Ministry of Multiplication

Leo Grisales, Christ for the Nations graduate who is dedicated to a ministry of multiplication. There are two things that have marked my life says Leo, “ there was my life before and after I accepted Christ as my Savior and there was my life before and after I studied at Christ for the Nations Colombia”.  Leo has a degree in Systems Engineering and had planned to study at Christ for the Nations to solidify his walk with God as he worked as a Systems Engineer.  During his time at the institute, he received several prophesies saying he would be going to the nations.  It was a foreign thought to him but after his first missions trip, he knew he was called full time to the nations to raise up workers for the kingdom of God. Anointing Before Character

David recently returned to Colombia from a mission trip to Mexico.   He shared his testimony in Mexico that impacted both Christians and non-Christians.   It is amazing to see how God uses him despite having been kidnapped by his father, living in fear of the law, and losing his mother at the age of 12. When David was about 2 years old, his father kidnapped him to try and get money from his grandfather.   His father was caught and went to jail for two years until David’s mother dropped the charges and asked him into their lives again.   His father moved in with his other “wife” and the two women, their children, and his father lived together. David’s family moved often to avoid being caught by the law.   David says that he feared police officers because his family was always hiding from them.
