Mission Ecuador Jungle

The greatest joy for us is to see our graduate, Jerson, walking out the leadership that he felt called to at Christ For The Nations, Colombia.  Jerson is the son of a missionary in the Amazons.  He is dedicated to working with the ministry his father founded.  In December, he led a team of 7 students who traveled three days in bus and jeep, and 11 hours in boat to arrive at their destination.  Living in the extreme poverty of the community, the team slept on mattresses on the floor and were awakened at night by the sound of rats, bats, and insects. 
The students said that the hardships they faced were nothing compared to the joy of being able to serve the community.  The team brought hope and smiles to the remote indigenous groups.  They shared the gospel in a fresh, real way to the indigenous people and saw miracles happen each night. The team did not only minister to the spiritual needs.  The people who live along the river do not have drinkable water.  They drink from the river and suffer parasites and other illnesses.  Jerson had a goal to raise funds for 3 water tanks to store clean rain water and 100 “joyful kits” (similar to the shoeboxes that the Samaritan purse ministry give).  


They surpassed their goal and were able to purchase 7 water storage tanks and 140 “joyful kits”.   The team ministered to about 700 people.  One of the students who was on the trip said that the person who received the most was herself as she saw the hand of God work in the people.

A Ministry of Multiplication

Leo Grisales, Christ for the Nations graduate who is dedicated to a ministry of multiplication. There are two things that have marked my life says Leo, “ there was my life before and after I accepted Christ as my Savior and there was my life before and after I studied at Christ for the Nations Colombia”.  Leo has a degree in Systems Engineering and had planned to study at Christ for the Nations to solidify his walk with God as he worked as a Systems Engineer.  During his time at the institute, he received several prophesies saying he would be going to the nations.  It was a foreign thought to him but after his first missions trip, he knew he was called full time to the nations to raise up workers for the kingdom of God. Anointing Before Character

David recently returned to Colombia from a mission trip to Mexico.   He shared his testimony in Mexico that impacted both Christians and non-Christians.   It is amazing to see how God uses him despite having been kidnapped by his father, living in fear of the law, and losing his mother at the age of 12. When David was about 2 years old, his father kidnapped him to try and get money from his grandfather.   His father was caught and went to jail for two years until David’s mother dropped the charges and asked him into their lives again.   His father moved in with his other “wife” and the two women, their children, and his father lived together. David’s family moved often to avoid being caught by the law.   David says that he feared police officers because his family was always hiding from them.
