Heaven Coffee- From the Mountain to Your Table

Fourth semester student, Juan Armenta, has an incredible story about how God gave him a dream for a business when he wasn’t even looking for it.

Juan came to CPN because a friend encouraged him to. He felt the Lord leading him to go through a season of preparation and he wanted to walk in obedience. He says his experience hasn’t been easy- as he is much older than the majority of the students in the dorm- but it has been a great learning experience for him to be humble and walk in obedience.

During his first semester in May of 2017 the Lord began to speak to him during his devotional. He began to hear the words: “coffee, heaven, from the mountain to your table, colors, blue, black, and platinum.” He began to sense that God was speaking to him about a business for coffee but he had no idea what that meant or how to start!!

In July of 2017 he went to Guatemala and spoke with the president of the coffee federation there. He never would’ve imagined that just a year later he would be starting a new Guatemalan coffee business!

Juan says, “God rewards obedience and in obedience are the treasures of heaven.”

Juan is now about to fully launch the business “Café Cielo” (Heaven Coffee) in January. They now have a web page, designs, packaging, mugs, etc. The company has the colors blue, black, and platinum just as Juan saw in his vision. The slogan is “From the mountain to your table.”
The symbols in the wings of the bird are actually in Mayan (an old indigenous language in Guatemala) and mean Love, Faith, and Hope.

Café Cielo is the first international coffee business in Guatemala. There are several local companies but not one that is international. It is amazing to see that in just one time in a  devotional with the Lord, Juan was able to hear so much and not only did he hear the voice of the Lord, but he chose to walk in obedience.

We are so proud of our students and to see them take risks to follow their dreams is something so beautiful! Not only do we have students that are pastors, missionaries, and leaders, we also have students that are businessmen like Juan.

We encourage you today- don’t be afraid to listen to the voice of Lord and when you hear Him speak don’t hesitate to walk in obedience. You don’t know all that He has in store for you!!
