Students beautifying the street girls A Night With The King The Christ for the Nation's students have shown how they go above and beyond just a simple project.  Every year Christ for the Nations offers a practical class on dreaming, writing down the vision, sharing the vision, and executing it.  For the past year, the students have felt a burning desire to help the “unlovable” and “undesirable” to society: the homeless and sex-workers.  With the desire to show God’s love to the broken world, they designed an event called “A Night with the King”.  The idea was simple but glorious.  They wanted to have a space to fix up sex-workers hair, make-up, nails, and new clothes and prepare them for a nice meal and a special word shared.  After dreaming this idea, one thing after another began to work out.  The rooftop of a girl’s foundation was offered, and then a catering company offered 60 banquet dinners, a large quantity of girls offered their beauty p...

Tired Of Fighting Alone?

How are YOU doing... today ?   As a result of the pandemic situation, many people have found themselves fighting some type of battle - and many of them were fighting all ALONE.   IN OUR CASE ...   the Lord had us start the project for the Christian School about 4 years ago.  There are a lot of people affected by the project and many families counting on it for their children.  Last week, we got to a point where it looked like it would be impossible to see the fulfillment of that project.  It looked like it could be finished.  We want to share some ideas on how we were able to walk through the despair of feeling like we were about to lose everything.  1.  PEACE -  Recently I (Jerry) caught myself in "just hang on and survive" gear... but God got in my face and reminded us that He LEADS me by His peace .  Satan wants to DRIVE us compulsively , but God wants to DRAW us compassionately .  I know it sounds too s...

Anointing Before Character

David recently returned to Colombia from a mission trip to Mexico.   He shared his testimony in Mexico that impacted both Christians and non-Christians.   It is amazing to see how God uses him despite having been kidnapped by his father, living in fear of the law, and losing his mother at the age of 12. When David was about 2 years old, his father kidnapped him to try and get money from his grandfather.   His father was caught and went to jail for two years until David’s mother dropped the charges and asked him into their lives again.   His father moved in with his other “wife” and the two women, their children, and his father lived together. David’s family moved often to avoid being caught by the law.   David says that he feared police officers because his family was always hiding from them.
