NEW YEAR... NEW YOU !!!

I think it was Einstein who wrote this famous quote:

Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.”

Most of the Christians I know, and I include myself,…don’t want 2023 to be just a repeat of 2022. They want “more”… more clarity in hearing His voice, more of His incomparable presence, moreheaven” in their day to day life!

If that’s you, I want to encourage you with 5 suggestions that WORK for us. Following Einstein’s advice; if we want to see changes, we need to make changes.

  1. Expect enemy attacks

If you’ve decided to follow Jesus… you have “changed teams” from following the world’s ways to committing yourself to allowing God to lead you.

Don’t expect “sunshine” all the time. Pull up your boot-straps and jump into the battle! Attacks are coming!… expect them & be prepared! πŸ‘Š

  1. Pray Daily

According to a survey by the Pew Research Center, fewer than half of U.S. adults pray daily… “forgetting to pray is like forgetting to breathe” !!

You won’t hear God if you don’t spend time with Him.

Ephesians 6:12 reminds us that “we do not wrestle against flesh and blood.” In other words, the fight is not against governments or people or companies or circumstances. The real battle—the unseen battle—is our struggle in prayer: For the souls of unbelievers.

  1. Speak and Believe the TRUTH

The Spirit of God emboldens us to proclaim the gospel without fear (1 Thessalonians 2:2). Boldness is contagious. When we are bold for Christ, enduring hardships for our faith, others are provoked to do the same (Philippians 1:14)

  1. Let go of Control

Trying to be in control and relinquishing control at the same time just doesn't work; they can't co-exist inside the same heart. When we let God drive our lives and trust that He knows best, we are able to rest and stop striving, which means that we will ultimately experience peace.

How?

  • Identify what you can control—and what you can't.

  • Address what you can control.

  • Surrender what you can't control.

  • Meditate on the promises of your faithful God.

Few days go by without me reminding Him;  “this isn’t my school… it’s yours” “this isn’t my ministry… it’s all yours”   “I’m here to help you any way you want”

  1. Watch God work . . .

This is the FUN part… When you have done your part… resisted the battles, faithful to daily prayer, standing on His promises, not manipulating situations, but trusting Him….then you’ll see Him, time after time, showing up in POWER!  πŸ‘Š
