Amazons 2017 - Making Lasting Impact

In June, Twenty-five Christ for the Nations students traveled to the Amazon River Basin. The goal is to make a long-term impact in the region and in the lives of these next gen leaders.   Here are some of the results. Problem:   In Puerto Alegre several people have gotten sick from drinking river water and recently a child died from drinking the water. Solution:   The team raised finances and installed 22 water tanks to collect clean rain water.   Problem:    The church has attracted elderly people and are not reaching the youth Solution:   A youth congress for the young people in the communities.   The CPN students invited young people from several communities.   They provided all the meals for 100 young people and taught them how to live passionately for Christ.   Some of the students traveled a half a day on the river to get to the congress.   All left with a new passion for Christ.
